THE ROLE
Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to shape the future of fusion energy? Join our team as an Engineering Manager, where you will provide technical and project leadership on high-impact projects, influencing both the organisation and external collaborators.
The specific role you will be assigned to is Deputy Engineering Manager for the Spherical Tokamak for Energy Production (STEP) Heating and Current Drive (HCD) System. STEP aims for a prototype fusion plant, targeting first operations around 2040. The HCD system as designed would be the largest microwave system built in the world to date; this role works alongside the STEP HCD Engineering Manager to design the system, and manage the research and development necessary to deliver the system.
No prior fusion or HCD system experience is required for this role. With broad expertise in managing and delivering complex engineering projects, you will coordinate teams to develop technical solutions, designs, and manage technology research and development. This role offers the chance to drive innovation while making a meaningful contribution to cutting-edge fusion energy advancements.
If you’re eager to transfer your technical management skills to a new area, we want to hear from you.
