Description
Welcome to Devlane! We are a dynamic software development company with a strong presence across Latin America. Currently, we specialize in offering staff augmentation services to clients worldwide, with a particular focus on North America. Joining our team offers you the opportunity to shine and make a significant impact on the projects you work on. Many of our clients are modern small to medium-sized businesses experiencing rapid growth, and they're eager to add core members like you to their teams. This environment ensures you'll stay up-to-date with the latest technology trends. At Devlane, our values are straightforward: we foster a collaborative environment and prioritize building long-lasting relationships where you can develop your skills as a software engineer and learn from your peers. What's the role about? You will assist in the planning, design, and supervision of projects, as well as in overseeing multiple engineering teams. You will be responsible for ensuring that engineering projects stay on track and are delivered on time, making sure teams have the resources they need, and coordinating work with other managers and staff. What do we require from you? 1. Technical Leadership & Execution 5+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 2 years in an engineering management or team lead role. Strong understanding of modern backend and frontend technologies (e.g., Node.js, TypeScript, React, PostgreSQL, AWS/GCP). Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects with complex dependencies. Experience with CI/CD pipelines, release management, and deployment best practices. Demonstrated ability to unblock teams and ensure delivery cadence is predictable and reliable. 2. People & Team Management Experience managing teams of 5–15 engineers across multiple projects. Skilled in sprint planning, standups, retrospectives, and ensuring process adherence without excessive bureaucracy. Proven ability to coach engineers, provide constructive feedback, and support career growth. Excellent communication — able to translate technical progress and blockers to product, design, and leadership stakeholders. Track record of fostering accountability, ownership, and proactive communication within teams. 3. Process & Operational Excellence Strong experience with Agile or hybrid process management, with an emphasis on data-driven decision-making. Familiar with metrics collection and reporting, e.g., DORA metrics, velocity tracking, or sprint performance analysis. Comfortable managing SEVs, support escalations (SUPs), and production incidents, ensuring end-to-end accountability and communication. Able to balance short-term execution and long-term technical quality. Experience setting and enforcing engineering standards, such as code review practices, testing coverage, and documentation quality. Some of our Perks: Salary in USD. 100% Remote 25 days of Paid Time Off per year. 8-hour workday, with flexible hours. Welcome kit from the brand. High-end hardware provided: laptop, mouse, & headphones. English classes, virtual library and online courses. Contribution bonuses Ready to take the next step in your career? Apply now!
