EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum 2-3 years of engineering management experience in parcel handling or FMCG/manufacturing desirable.
• Strong technical competency in automation, with knowledge of current legislation and maintenance best practices.
• Familiarity with Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), preferably MAXIMO.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
• Likely to be a member of a professional body, such as IEE or IMECHE.

SKILLS & CAPABILITIES:

• Customer-oriented with a focus on establishing long-term relationships.
• Business acumen with an understanding of wider DHL processes.
• Ability to lead through periods of rapid change and integration.

• Lead a team of 12 engineers, including two supervisors
• Ensure the highest levels of maintenance for equipment to meet critical customer cut-off times, while managing tight time and cost controls.
• Develop and implement engineering support planning, covering resource allocation, holiday, and sickness cover.
• Maintain compliance with Health & Safety standards and ensure effective risk management strategies are in place.
• Oversee relationships with key equipment suppliers and service providers to enhance performance and cost savings.
• Drive innovative technical solutions to improve equipment performance and contribute to revenue generation.
