EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, civil engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum 10 years of experience working in a multidisciplinary engineering team in a manufacturing environment (experience in a multinational company: an asset)
  • Minimum 5 years in a management position

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Experience in manufacturing
  • Knowledge of plasma cutting, bending, machining, welding, and mechanical assembly processes
  • Knowledge of ISO9001 and ISO45001 standards — an assetMember of the OIQ and/or another engineering association in Canada
  • Fluency in French and English, both spoken and writtenKnowledge of ERP systems (IFS: an asset)
  • Solid experience in team management, including training and talent development
  • Inspiring leadership, managerial courage, and clear communication
  • Openness to technological innovations and best manufacturing practices
  • Ability to manage conflicts with a proactive and collaborative approach
  • Resilience in the face of the unexpected and ability to make quick and fair decisions

Responsibilities

YOUR TASKS

As Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for all of the department’s activities. You will ensure that strategic engineering objectives are met, while supporting the operational and commercial departments. You will manage the allocation of resources according to ongoing projects in order to guarantee that deliverables are met. You will work in collaboration with other departments within the company, the parent company, and the North American divisions to optimize processes and improve performance.
