The Critical Power Solutions (CPS) Engineering Manager will oversee multiple new product development projects for high-power three-phase UPS systems. The role includes all aspects of product design life cycle from concept to production managing a global, dynamic, multi-disciplinary team of electrical and mechanical engineers and technicians. In this role you will: Manage technical resources developing 2-4 NPD projects on a daily basis, maintain engineering accountability for these projects and drive functional excellence to ensure design requirements are met. Provide timely feedback and coaching to direct reports to ensure performance and professional development. Conduct performance reviews to evaluate team members' progress towards objectives, competencies, and their development plans. Participate in project-wide reviews of requirements, system architecture, and detailed design documents. Assure that product platforms and product designs are competitive on a global basis with respect to quality, performance, cost and reliability. Convey technical concepts and information to internal staff/peers and stakeholders using a mix of strong interpersonal and written communication skills. Interact and collaborate with colleagues in Product Management, Manufacturing, Service, DCS and Quality to ensure successful product line deployment. Champion continuous process improvements and promote Electrical and Mechanical Engineering functional excellence throughout the team. Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an accredited institution Minimum two (2) years' engineering management/team lead/project management experience Minimum five (5) years' experience working in either a design engineering, manufacturing, industrial or quality position Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship, now or in the future. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution. Electrical design experience in new product development of high-power, three-phase UPS systems or similar products (variable frequency drives, traction drives, solar inverters). Manager experience leading a cross-functional engineering team new product development projects Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools, with a track record of successfully managing complex engineering projects. Knowledge of industry standards, safety regulations, and compliance requirements relevant to electrical and mechanical engineering.
