The Opportunity The Engineering Manager will be responsible for leading and managing the technical development and successful delivery of a large-scale power transmission project. The role includes overseeing all engineering aspects during project scoping, development, and execution phases to ensure alignment with project goals, regulatory compliance, and the organization's strategic objectives. The focus will be on technical leadership, stakeholder engagement, and ensuring the project is delivered safely, on time, and within budget. This is a critical role that demands a highly organized and technically proficient professional with experience in managing complex infrastructure projects, particularly in power transmission systems. Key responsibilities: Direct the development and maintenance of the technical requirements, specifications, and performance criteria for all asset lifecycle phases (design, construction, commissioning, operation, and maintenance). Ensure that requirements are compliant with relevant standards, industry regulations, and longterm lifecycle needs. Review and provide input to designs, plans, and technical submittals to validate compliance Identify and document gaps in technical solutions and work collaboratively with consortium partners to address them. Lead the resolution of cross-team technical challenges and ensure all parties work together to achieve project goals. Facilitate timely responses to RFIs/TQs and resolve engineering-related conflicts collaboratively. Working closely with the consortium, and all relevant stakeholders to ensure full transparency and alignment in technical decision-making. Ensure alignment across various engineering disciplines (civil, electrical, structural, etc.) to meet overall project requirements. Monitor the D&C team’s execution, commissioning, and testing activities to ensure compliance with agreed engineering deliverables and requirements.
