Your Mission
The Engineering Manager leads and supports all technical activities within the plant, interacting with the different departments at both plant and group levels and with external partners and suppliers to ensure that the industrial equipment at the plant respects the relevant technical requirements and achieves the expected goals in terms of safety, quality, productivity, and costs & steers the production team leaders reaching the required targets.
Your Responsibilities

Key result area 1 – Technological leadership

  • In coordination with the group department of Manufacturing & Innovation:
  • Works with partners and suppliers to identify trends and latest developments that might be applied in the plant to improve performance.
  • Initiates and implements innovations within the plant.
  • Implements process automation on time and on budget, ensuring the improvements and payback as planned.
  • Leads the production team leaders, supports the maintenance team

Key result area 2 – Equipment and Investments

  • Participates actively in the definition of the investment needs related to machines & automation for the plant.
  • Defines BoR for industrial equipment and applies the group standardization strategy.
  • Leads FAT & SAT processes within the plant.
  • Maintains the industrial assets database and manages the unused equipment in the plant.

Key result area 3 – Staff

  • Cooperates intensively with the plant’s Maintenance Team to ensure that all Technicians are reaching the expected technical skills by supporting the development and training on all technical aspects.

Key result area 4 – Technical support

  • Provides the proper technical support and assistance to the Production and Maintenance teams on:
  • Interventions on equipment, like repairs, programming, modifications, e.g.
  • Action plan related to MKPIs targets and potential deviations.
  • Parametrization of the assembly line(s) in cooperation with Quality.
  • Compliance with group procedures and requirements within his/her area of responsibility.
  • Total Productive Maintenance system.
  • Follow-up and avoidance of equipment/parts obsolescence in the plant.
  • Definition of preventive and predictive maintenance plans.
  • Support when needed over the 3 shifts

The Engineering Manager reports to the Manufacturing Manager of the plant.
At the Group level (matrix organization), the Engineering Manager functionally reports to the Group Engineering & Innovation Manager, who in turn reports to the Head of Manufacturing & Innovation.
Your Profile

Education and experience

  • At least 3 years experience in a leading technical position in a manufacturing environment
  • Technical/Engineering background
