POSITION OVERVIEW

The Engineering Manager is responsible for leading the Engineering Department, consisting of multi-skilled engineers and operators managing an automated cold store. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in engineering management, be a qualified engineer with time-served experience, and hold qualifications equivalent to degree level or industry standards. This role combines technical expertise, leadership, and strategic oversight to ensure operational excellence and safety.
Location: Corby
Salary: £55,000 pa.

CANDIDATE PROFILE EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS

• Apprentice-trained or time-served engineer.
• Level 3 qualification or equivalent industry standard.

EXPERIENCE

• Minimum of 3-5 years of engineering management experience.
• Proven expertise in FMCG automated warehouse operations.
• Experience with cold stores and ammonia plants is highly desirable.

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Proficient in producing and presenting KPI reports and performance metrics.
• Advanced IT skills and familiarity with engineering software tools.
• Flexible to work hours aligned with operational needs.
