Job Description We are looking for an Engineering Manager to lead one or more teams building scalable data and AI-driven platforms in the Financial Crime Compliance (FCC) domain. You will blend technical leadership, delivery ownership, and people management, with a focus on building resilient, cloud-native systems and driving innovation through AI and automation. You bring 8+ years of experience in distributed systems, data engineering, and modern software delivery, along with experience building and mentoring teams. Responsibilities 1. Delivery & Execution Manage delivery of complex, multi-quarter engineering programs Improve predictable execution using Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) Ensure, on-time delivery in consideration of our priorities Manage dependencies across teams, platforms, and partners Track and improve important engineering metrics (velocity, quality, reliability) 2. Technical Leadership Architect and oversee scalable, secure, cloud-native systems (AWS preferred) Guide teams on best practices in: Microservices architecture Data pipelines (batch and streaming) API design and integration Event-driven systems Champion engineering excellence: Code quality, testing strategies, CI/CD pipelines Observability and production Improve adoption of AI/GenAI solutions to improve engineering efficiency and product capabilities 3. Data & AI Engineering (Preferred) Lead development of large-scale data platforms using tools like Spark, Glue, and data lakes Enable real-time and batch data processing pipelines Collaborate with data scientists to productionize ML models Ensure governance, security, and compliance (especially in regulated domains like KYC/KYB, AML) 4. People Leadership Build, mentor, and grow high-performing engineering teams Conduct hiring, onboarding, and performance management Foster a culture of ownership, innovation, and continuous improvement Provide regular feedback and career development guidance Promote diversity, inclusion, and psychological safety within teams 5. Stakeholder Management Partner closely with Product, Architecture, and Business stakeholders Translate business requirements into technical deliverables Provide clear status updates and executive-level communication Manage risks, escalations, and trade-off decisions effectively 6. Operational Excellence Ensure production stability, uptime, and incident management Drive root cause analysis and continuous improvement Optimize cost and performance of cloud infrastructure Establish robust support and runbooks for operational teams Qualifications Required Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field 10–14 years of software engineering experience, with 3–5 years in a leadership role Proven track record of delivering large-scale distributed systems Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred) Hands-on experience in Java/Python/Scala or similar Deep understanding of software development lifecycle and Agile practices Preferred Qualifications Experience in Financial Crime Compliance, Fraud, or Risk systems Exposure to AI/ML and GenAI-driven product development Prior experience managing globally distributed teams Additional Information Our uniqueness is that we truly celebrate yours.
