Fibre-Tech is a well-established, UK-based sub-contract manufacturing business, delivering high-quality CNC machining and sheet metal services to a range of sectors. With a focus on precision, efficiency, and customer satisfaction, we are now looking for a hands-on Engineering Manager to lead our engineering team and drive operational excellence on the shop floor.

PREFERRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• Strong, hands-on experience in a CNC machining and/or sheet metal fabrication environment.
• Proficient in interpreting engineering drawings, CAD models, and technical specifications.
• Previous experience preparing accurate quotations in a subcontract setting.
• Proven track record of successfully managing engineering projects and improving manufacturing processes.

SOFTWARE & TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE (PREFERRED)

• FeatureCAM (for CNC programming)
• SolidWorks & AutoCAD (for CAD modelling and drawing interpretation)
• Fanuc and Heidenhain CNC control systems
• ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office tools

QUALIFICATIONS

• HNC/HND or Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Production Engineering preferred.
• Strong commercial awareness and a solid understanding of manufacturing costs and margins.
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles (5S, Kaizen, etc.) is a plus.
