  • Has a proven track record in a similar leadership role within a tech environment.
  • Has a strong technical background (both from your education and work experience), and preferably still loves coding.
  • Demonstrates exceptional skills in mentoring, coaching, and developing team members.
  • Is experienced in recruiting and integrating new talents into a team.
  • Possesses a solid understanding of agile methodologies and is committed to promoting best practices in engineering.
  • Is fluent in English and Swedish, capable of communicating effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are on an exciting journey with rapid growth both locally and internationally. And as we grow, we aim to elevate our tech platform to new heights and redefine the banking experience for entrepreneurs. To achieve this, expanding our Tech team with talented individuals is required, and the role of an Engineering Manager is pivotal. You will lead and nurture members of the team, fostering an environment that emphasizes personal growth, professional development, and technical excellence.
As an Engineering Manager at Froda, you will directly manage a team of engineers, focusing on their career development, well-being, and daily operational needs. Your responsibilities include conducting one-on-one meetings, recruiting new talent, and ensuring a seamless onboarding experience. You will continuously refine these processes to enhance our engineering culture, promoting a spirit of continuous improvement, innovation, and growth.
In this role, you will collaborate closely with Tech Leads and Product Managers to align on resource needs and project efforts, ensuring smooth operations. You will also work in close partnership with another Engineering Manager, as well as the VP of Engineering and the CTO, to help define and implement technical strategies and best practices, significantly shaping our engineering practices. Together, you will contribute to the overall success of the engineering teams, driving Froda’s technology forward.
