Engineering Manager – Glasgow – £60,000 per annum
A leading bus operator in Glasgow is seeking an experienced and motivated Engineering Manager to oversee the maintenance and performance of our vehicle fleet. This is a key leadership role within our depot, offering a competitive salary of £60,000 and the chance to make a real impact on essential public transport services.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Proven experience in a senior engineering or fleet management role, preferably in the bus or commercial vehicle sector.
• Strong understanding of vehicle maintenance regulations and industry best practices.
• Recognised technical qualification (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
• Transport Manager CPC (or willingness to obtain).
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

• Manage day-to-day engineering operations across the depot.
• Ensure the fleet is maintained to the highest safety and reliability standards.
• Oversee all vehicle servicing, MOT preparation, and defect rectification.
• Ensure compliance with all DVSA, health and safety, and company standards.
• Lead, develop, and motivate a team of engineers, supervisors, and support staff.
• Manage budgets, parts procurement, and workshop performance.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the engineering function.
