In this high-impact role, you will lead our passionate Engineering team partnering with leaders and teams across the organisation to maintain land, plant and buildings to match production requirements and ensure health, safety and RMP/ GMP / FSQ requirements are met. This position is also part of the site leadership team.
Job Description

Responsibilities
  • Plant & Building Maintenance: Review spare parts, redesign machines, coordinate maintenance activities, ensure mechanical services meet production needs, and maintain high site standards.
  • Cost Control & CAPEX: Manage engineering capital projects, prepare and monitor capex requests and project plans, reduce engineering costs, secure supplies, and find cost-effective solutions.
  • Research & Development (R&D): Design solutions to improve performance and efficiency, introduce new technologies, and seek innovations for best practices in manufacturing.
  • Council Collaboration & Site Security: Liaise with the Council on environmental consents, manage utility contracts, oversee security systems, and maintain site equipment and vehicles.
  • Continuous Improvement: Ensure engineers follow relevant codes, proactively assess risks, investigate accidents, and address non-conformance reports (NCRs) within set timeframes.
