Learn more at experianplc.com. Job Description We are looking for an accomplished and experienced Java Engineering Lead/Manager to lead our UKBI engineering team. Reporting into our Engineering Director, you will have a strong background in Java, microservices, serverless architecture, Docker, EKS and search technologies such as Solr or open search. Responsibilities: Lead a team of Java engineers, providing guidance for their professional development. Collaborate with teams to understand requirements and provide solutions that meet our needs. Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies to lead innovation within the team. Develop scalable software solutions using Java, microservices architecture, Docker, EKS, Search systems with Solr or Open Search, AWS services Ensure software delivery through best practices in coding, testing, and deployment. Participate in sprints, contributing hands-on to software development. Maintain unit tests and contribute to test automation to ensure software reliability and maintainability. Manage risks and technical impediments, communicating with leadership to ensure project success. Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues efficiently. Provide technical guidance to team members Qualifications Experience in Java, microservices, python, SQL and NoSQL database technologies. Experience in search technologies such as Solr or Open Search. Expertise of AWS Services like EC2, EKS and Lambda. Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools. Collaborate effectively with partners at all levels.
