REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum 5 years’ management experience in high-volume, heavy processing manufacturing.
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop teams.
  • Strong technical knowledge of engineering and process plant operations.
  • Experience with process engineering software and systems.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Commercial awareness with the ability to contribute to profitability and strategic decisions.

Responsibilities
  • Act as a safety leader, promoting and implementing best practices across site engineering.
  • Serve as the technical authority on engineering principles and plant knowledge.
  • Lead and manage direct reports including Mechanical Engineering Coordinator, Electrical Manager, Software & Control Engineer, Effluent Treatment Plant Supervisor, Site Facilities Manager, and Purchasing & Inventory Manager.
  • Oversee shift-based and day engineering teams (mechanical, electrical, installation, and water treatment).
  • Drive projects forward and contribute to Senior Management Team decision-making.
  • Optimise plant operations by resolving issues quickly and reducing downtime.
  • Implement and maintain standardised work processes.
  • Develop and manage MRP processes to minimise total cost of ownership.
  • Utilise process engineering software to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
