- Profound knowledge of software engineering combined with multiple years of hands-on experience managing fast-growing, high-performing teams.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to drive decisions forward while tackling even the most ambiguous problems, making data-driven decisions, and leading by example.
- Passion for building reliable systems with experience in microservice architectures.
- Excellent communication skills, enabling you to communicate transparently and effectively within the team and across the organization in fluent English (German is a plus).
- A proactive problem-solver who leaves code and engineering practices in better shape than found.
- Open to feedback—no one is perfect, and you are eager to learn and grow with your team.

Responsibilities:
YOUR ROLE
This position is office-based (hybrid) in Munich.
As an Engineering Manager (F/M/D), you will push the boundaries of growth and innovation in a fast-paced environment while building and leading one of our high-performing, interdisciplinary mission-based teams. You will continuously extend the engineering, operational, and management excellence within the entire engineering department, drive the full cycle of feature development, and take part in architecting the remberg XRM-System.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Build driven and high-performing teams by focusing on the personal and professional development of engineers, with 1-on-1s, coaching, and career planning.
- Foster an engineering culture of ownership, autonomy, and inclusivity, not only within your team but across the entire department.
- Collaborate closely with product and design partners to define and execute the most impactful initiatives.
- Work closely with your team to provide feedback on architecture and approach, enabling them to deliver scalable, maintainable, secure, and performant products.
- Use your technical skills to promote and implement engineering best practices within your team.
