ABOUT THE ROLE

Centennial is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to join our high-performing team at Mandalong Mine, located in the Lake Macquarie region—just a short drive from Newcastle and the Central Coast.
This is a fantastic opportunity to lead the Engineering team at a well-established Underground Longwall operation and contribute directly to the safety, performance, and sustainability of the site.
As part of the Senior Leadership Team, you will bring technical expertise, strong leadership, and strategic thinking to the role. You will be accountable for setting engineering standards, ensuring statutory compliance, and delivering safe, cost-effective, and innovative engineering solutions.

REPORTING TO THE MINE MANAGER, YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

• Leading, coaching and developing a high-performing engineering team (mechanical, electrical, and support staff).
• Ensuring compliance with all relevant statutory, safety, and environmental obligations.
• Overseeing the implementation and performance of the site’s maintenance and reliability strategy.
• Managing engineering budgets, cost reviews and contributing to annual mine planning processes.
• Driving continuous improvement, digitalisation, and innovation in engineering practices.
• Embedding a positive safety culture across engineering operations.
• Supporting the implementation of lifecycle asset management and the Equipment Care program.
• Contributing to major projects and performance improvement initiatives across the site.
