Job Title: Engineering Manager Job Overview :
Main Duties :
-
- Provide operational support, information and reports as requested to the RFM
- Escalation of issues to provide early warning of defects
- Attend meetings where required
- Provide cover for other Supervisors as required

- Manage tall HR procedures and polices relating to managing a team
- Provide technical support to the team.
- Ensure statutory & mandatory compliance across the ECC estate- Statutory and mandatory remedial works are to be completed within the contract KPI’s
- Utilise Mi reports to maximise efficiently , performance and productivity within the team
- Manage PPM, and Reactive Works in line with contract KPI’s.
- Audit 5% of PPM per month
- Be aware of all sub contractor activities so there is minimum impact to the client
- Undertake ‘Stop Work Audits’ for sub contractor related works
- Review RAMS for sub-contractor related works.
- Proactively manage H&S, ensuring we provide a safe working environment, engendering and maintaining a safety driven culture, ensuring all legislative and company policies, processes and procedures are adhered to. (Specifically to working at height and hot works)
- Ensure van, tool, PPE, test equipment checks are completed and recorded
- Monitor the number of hazards reported and encourage/train all members of the team to identify and report hazards.
- Ensure that the team complete monthly TBT’s
- Ensure that the teams, professional , technical and eLearning mandatory training is completed and up to date , within month
- Approval of material quotes up to £1k
- Prepare and submit various operational, accident, incident reports
- Provide quotes for any new work
- Ensure Maximo is kept updated with any changes to assets or PPM under your area of responsibilit
- Develop and maintain good relationships both Internally & externally.
- Attend meetings/handovers for Capital / Lifecycle replacement work
- Participate in the out of hours emergency escalation procedureX
What we are looking for :
-
- Served a recognised apprenticeship or training scheme (desired)
- Electrical / Mechanical / Building Services Qualification
- An Excellent knowledge of building services systems is required (Controls/LTHW/CHW/HVAC/L8/UPS/Generators)
- Health & Safety qualification (IOSH / NEBOSH)
- A good understanding of the Maximo CAFM system and its function.
- Previous experience of working in a Supervisory role in a technical environment
- Good level in core Microsoft Office IT Skills.
- The job holder will be self-motivated, with the ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
- Ability to influence and great communicator as there will be a requirement to work in conjunction with senior management, operational teams and clients
