Our client is a leading software company that develops innovative solutions for digital transformation in industry and technology. To strengthen our Research & Development department , we are looking for an Engineering Manager (m/f/d) to start immediately , who will provide technical and disciplinary support to several agile development teams and actively further develop the engineering culture.

You will work in a hybrid model : at the Nuremberg location , near Konstanz , as well as remotely throughout Germany .

Tasks:

As Engineering Manager (m/f/d) you will take on the disciplinary leadership of several cross-functional software development teams and support their sustainable development.

You lead several agile development teams and are the first point of contact for all personnel-related issues.
You support employees through regular feedback and development discussions and promote their professional and personal development.
You support recruiting processes, participate in the onboarding of new employees, and strengthen long-term employee retention.
Together with HR and the technical managers, you will develop an appreciative and performance-oriented engineering culture.
You ensure transparency, clear priorities, and sustainable delivery across multiple teams.
You plan resources and capacities, moderate conflicting objectives, and ensure high delivery capability.
You will work closely with Product Management, Engineering and other stakeholders, and support organizational changes.
You actively promote modern working methods and the use of current technologies such as cloud and AI.

Qualifications:

Several years of professional experience as an Engineering Manager (m/f/d), Development Manager (m/f/d) or in a comparable management position within software development
Experience in leading multiple agile software teams and in SaaS transformations
Excellent technical understanding of modern software development, cloud technologies, and software engineering processes.
Knowledge of agile methods and collaboration in cross-functional product teams
Excellent communication and organizational skills, as well as an empathetic and appreciative leadership personality.
Experience in working with international teams is an advantage.
Interest in modern technologies and ideally initial experience with AI-supported software development
Fluent German and English skills, as well as occasional willingness to travel internationally.
