Job Description As Engineering Manager, your role is to coordinate people, resources, and priorities to support a 24/7 Production Environment. Your key responsibilities include: Leading and developing a multidisciplinary team of Engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation. Matching skills to tasks and developing a multiskilled, flexible team that proactively addresses issues and creates innovative ways to improve reliability. Implementing and maintaining robust engineering processes and standards to ensure operational excellence. Overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of engineering projects within agreed timelines and budgets. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive operational efficiencies and optimise production processes. Conducting regular performance reviews and providing mentorship to team members, supporting their professional growth and development. Analysing production data and key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions. Ensuring compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations, modelling safe working practices at all times. Managing departmental budgets effectively, including resource allocation and cost control measures. Staying abreast of industry trends and technological advancements to drive innovation within the engineering team. Participating in the Plant Manager team, contributing to strategic decision-making and long-term planning for the facility. Fostering a culture of continuous learning and knowledge sharing within the engineering department. Liaising with suppliers, contractors, and other external stakeholders to ensure smooth operations and project delivery. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving, strong leadership skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
