Termly is a remote workforce and is spread across the globe, but is centered primarily in the USA and works US business hours. We’re looking to expand our development team and we’re hiring in several new roles. The tech stack includes Ruby, Python, PostgreSQL, and React, with a Kubernetes cloud-based infrastructure. We strive to follow agile principles using Kanban.

TARGETED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Team leadership or management experience
  • 5-10+ years of professional software development experience
  • Work well with leaders, support folks, ops folks, and developers
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience working on remote teams
  • Proficiency in refactoring and unit testing
  • Experience with one or more cloud platforms
  • Experience working with teams based in the US
Responsibilities
  • Leadership:
  • Hold regular one-on-ones with your team
  • Nurture a culture of transparency, technical excellence, empathy, and accountability
  • Be responsible for setting and achieving team goals and metrics
  • Work with Product, QA, DevOps, and other AppDev leaders to define and execute development strategy
  • Development:
  • Review and implement technical product requirements
  • Solve and track problems through to resolution
  • Software development
  • On-call assignments are shared across the team, and this role would share that responsibility, and would also be a tier 2 support for fires.
  • Work 4 hours of overlap with US Mountain Time business hours to collaborate with the US-based tech team
