Responsibilities:
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- You will lead an empowered team to design, build, and scale Emma’s technology platform, helping us become a global leader in sleep comfort products. Your work will directly impact our customers’ experiences and the quality of our offerings.
- You will own the team’s delivery, driving predictable progress through proactive risk identification and mitigation, while ensuring clear, timely communication with stakeholders at every stage.
- You will drive the technical roadmap for the payments domain, ensuring scalable, reliable, and future-proof architectures for checkout and payment services.
- You will own key payment-related metrics, such as payment success rate, failure rate, authorization decline rate, chargeback rate.
- You will ensure system reliability and incident management, proactively identifying, coordinating incidents and mitigating risks to minimize transaction failures and downtime.
- You will work closely with senior and staff engineers to ensure the technical excellence of the architecture and software by actively participating in writing and reviewing design docs, pair programming, and code reviews.
- You will coach, mentor, and support your team members in achieving their full potential, fostering a high-performance culture through clear roles, career pathing, and regular development feedback.
