Pismo’s 500+ employees are located in more than 10 countries around the world. Job Description The PCI ISO Squad handles all ISO 8583 message processing for Visa, Mastercard, and RuPay. It validates message fields, enforces network rules, and routes essential data to internal systems like the HSM and the authorizer. The squad also builds and validates Pismo’s ISO response messages based on information from other platform components. As the entry point for all card transactions, this service is performance‑critical. In addition, the squad maintains network connections, manages client sign‑on and certification processes, and ensures ongoing PCI compliance. What You Will Do: Hire and develop technical personnel by conducting periodic one on one sessions and providing regular feedback, always focused on high performance Ensure that the team is always engaged and challenged to go beyond what is expected Understands the teams products at a deep level, and support the team members to also have a reasonable knowledge of the products the squad owns Delegate work and assignment to team members Collaborating with their team to identify and fix technical problems Analyzing users needs and then finding applications to serve them Foster a healthy culture within the team in line with the company culture Conduct risk analysis to identify areas of improvement Guide the team through technical issues and challenges Guarantee their teamwork follows high standards development processes, including PR reviews, code quality, test coverage, robustness, resilience, performance, security and responsiveness Manage the teams oncall, ensuring the quality of incident handling and offering a great experience for the client Have an assertive decision making in adverse environments (short time, pressure from customers, various restrictions) Whenever necessary, direct contact with the international team and clients Monitoring team services and new features on production environment, always seeking to achieve our SLOs and SLAs This is a remote position. Remote positions may be required to be present at a Visa office with scheduled notice. #LI-Remote Qualifications For this role, you must be based in Brazil Language Skills: Proficiency in English at B2 level or above (Upper-Intermediate) Technical Skills: Experience with Financial Industry or Payments, Authorization Systems At least 3 years acting in direct leadership, with responsibility for team development and career growth. 7+ years of experience in software development as a software engineer. Ability to work independently in a remote, multicultural team environment. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Proven leadership experience in people and project management. Strong background in Agile methodologies and production support. Experience developing secure, scalable corporate web applications. Experience with development of corporate web applications Familiarity with cloud native infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure), CI CD, observability, and system architecture. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with ISO8583 messaging system Work with critical systems is a differential Bachelors Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD, OR 8+ years of relevant work experience.
