WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR

We’re looking for an engineering manager with experience leading technical teams and running the SDLC for multiple teams. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience as an individual contributor in software development and an additional 3+ years of experience in engineering management. Candidates should be data-driven, agile-friendly, and prepared to take on the challenges of supporting a high-growth startup.

  • Participate in system design discussions, review system design and provide feedback
  • Evaluate and update design principles and make sure they are adhered to
  • Understand implications of adopting new technologies and provide support to leadership in new technology selection.
  • Facilitate effective communication within the engineering team
  • Coordinate communication with other Engineering teams
  • Present project updates to engineering leadership
  • Independently resolve conflicts and maintain a culture of collaboration
  • Ability to communicate company priorities and high level strategy to your engineering team
  • Act as first source of escalation for issues for your direct reports
  • Contribute in manager level discussions about team culture and organization
  • Guide and mentor direct reports and set goals and expectations
  • Identify and address skill development opportunities for the team
  • Own team expansion and resource allocation within your team
  • Manage team timelines and deliverables
  • Ensure compliance with engineering processes and standards
  • Collaborate with other teams for successful project execution
