This is an excellent opportunity to step in as a key contributor to Pepperstone Engineering and lead a talented team to deliver our core business system as well as develop our engineering practices. This role will facilitate and manage engineering delivery and champion ongoing projects, while mentoring and developing the team. The Engineering Manager will guide their team, communicating context, timeline, scope to their team and other stakeholders, to deliver consistently while striving to develop best practices and uplift quality. Leading the team independently, The Engineering Manager will have a critical role shaping and influencing the engineering function at Pepperstone as well as working side by side with our Product and Portfolio team.

As our Engineering Manager, your key responsibilities include, but may not be limited to:

• Establishing an engineering roadmap with the collaboration of Senior Engineers in the team.
• Championing of engineering initiatives to gain operational efficiencies, increase developer QOL, and safely improve pace of delivery.
• Being a champion of and leading Continuous Delivery within the team
• Working incrementally towards delivery of the platform working closely with Product and Portfolio.
• Building a strong engineering team composed of onshore and offshore engineering talent.
• Establishing robust engineering practices and processes within the team and facilitating continuous improvement in the team
• Facilitating design and implementation of software patterns and architecture
• Setting clear expectations for team members; soliciting, synthesising, and delivering feedback
• Building, supporting, and developing the Partners platform engineering team
• Collaborating closely with product owners, delivery leads, and business analysts
• Contributing to the improvement of software development lifecycle processes
