This role offers the opportunity to lead and grow a team of talented engineers responsible for building scalable, high-performance routing and navigation systems. You will oversee the development of web services that power critical navigation, logistics, and mapping initiatives, ensuring reliability, security, and optimal performance. Accountabilities Lead a multidisciplinary team of engineers responsible for routing, geospatial, and traffic systems. Oversee the day-to-day operations, including sprint planning, project management, and SRE responsibilities. Deliver complex, high-impact projects while providing technical guidance and mentorship to the team. Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to define long-term strategy and objectives. Establish, track, and iterate on operational metrics to ensure team performance and product quality. Promote best engineering practices, thorough testing, and robust documentation across the team. Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, diversity, and data-driven decision-making. 5–8+ years of people management experience, ideally leading remote engineering teams. Proven experience hiring, developing, and retaining high-performing engineering talent. Strong technical expertise in building scalable web services, preferably in AWS environments. Operational excellence with a focus on monitoring, metrics, triage, and iterative improvement. Experience driving product execution while balancing business objectives and customer needs. Excellent written and verbal communication skills for interacting with a wide range of stakeholders. Customer-focused mindset, passionate about solving real-world problems and delivering high-quality solutions. Preferred / Bonus Skills: Experience in geospatial, routing, or logistics engineering domains. Deep understanding of distributed systems, APIs, and complex backend architectures. Track record of fostering innovation and collaboration in cross-functional teams. Ability to shape engineering culture and establish scalable processes for a growing team.
