REQUIREMENTS

  • 8+ years software development experience as an individual contributor or manager
  • 1+ years of Engineering Manager, people management and hands-on engineering management
  • Hands on experience as an IC within the last 3 years
  • Strong product sense to bridge the gap between product, design, and engineering
  • Experience building and shipping market-leading products that delight customers
  • Experience building and delivering a product from zero to one
  • Exceptional interpersonal and written communication skills
  • Previous experience in a startup environment
  • Strong inclination towards data-driven decision making and measuring impact
  • High sense of ownership and accountability with a proven track record of driving top-notch execution
  • Collaborative, humble, learner with a strong growth mindset

BASE SALARY DESCRIPTION:

The base range represents the minimum and maximum for this position across North America. For candidates in Menlo Park, the range is $203,940–$234,840; for Austin and Raleigh the range is $179,000–$206,000, and for Nashville and Toronto the range is $160,680-193,640. The compensation offered for this position will depend on numerous factors, including individual proficiency, anticipated performance, and the location of the selected candidate. Our OTE is just one component of CaptivateIQ’s competitive total rewards package.

Responsibilities
  • Recruit, inspire, manage and grow a team of software engineers
  • Serve as a tech lead/manager, helping drive the team while also delivering on smaller functionality as an IC
  • Design, build, and maintain user-facing components, APIs, services, and systems to solve problems and delight users from end-to-end
  • Mentor the professional development of each engineer through personal and performance management and coaching
  • Work closely with product owners to set priorities, objectives and clarify direction for the engineering team
  • Build and evangelize best practices, high engineering and security standards, and continuously improve our codebases and team processes
