MANAGER, SOFTWARE ENGINEERING – SNOWPIPE STREAMING

The mission of the Snowflake Streaming team is to empower customers to ingest, transform, and analyze their data using declarative streaming data pipelines within Snowflake. Guided by Snowflake’s “no knobs” philosophy, we develop infrastructure that manages orchestration, performance, self-healing and security – so that customers can focus on their business logic. Leveraging our team’s extensive background in building streaming systems, we create services and infrastructure that is simple to operate and adaptable to diverse business requirements. With the successful launch of our streaming products (Snowpipe Streaming, Dynamic Tables, and Streams), our user base is rapidly growing.
We are seeking a talented Engineering Manager for the Berlin chapter of our Snowpipe Streaming team. Collaborating closely with engineers in the US, the Berlin team has been an integral part of building the Snowpipe Streaming product from inception to global launch. We are entering the next phase of our team’s growth and expanding it to meet increasing demand.

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

• 10+ years hands-on software development experience, including experience working with large-scale cloud data platforms
• 3+ years of engineering management experience
• Comfortable working in a dynamic environment with a focus on delivering impactful results
• Demonstrated track record of driving operational excellence to ensure reliable software delivery meeting high quality standards
• Proven track record of recruiting, hiring, leading and growing technical teams
• BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or related majors, or equivalent experience
