Being a fast-scaling company with ambitious growth plans, we are now looking to appoint a dynamic, hands-on Engineering Managerwho will support our leadership team.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED :

  • A minimum of 10 year’s experience having built a credible career within engineering with roles across the functions of mechanical, electrical, product, innovation, design and/or HVAC.
  • Previous management of the product lifecycle is fundamental and experience in electrical and/or HVAC, household domestic appliances, electrical whitegoods would be desirable.
  • Experience of working within a manufacturing, engineering and/or electrical environments are essential in this role.

    Pay: £60,000.00-£65,000.00 per year

Responsibilities:

  • Lead engineering projects: Take ownership of company-wide engineering initiatives, ensuring all components and moving parts are effectively managed. Oversee the execution and delivery of projects from concept to completion, ensuring alignment with business goals and timelines.
  • Product management and compliance: Alongside the team, you will oversee the management of the product throughout its lifecycle. Whilst ensuring that all products meet relevant industry standards, compliance requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Resource management: Coordinate and allocate resources effectively across multiple projects, balancing business demands and team capacity. Ensure that all engineering resources are optimally utilised, and projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Team leadership and development: Manage, mentor, and develop a multi-disciplinary engineering team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement. Inspire your team to innovate, solve complex problems, and achieve project goals.
  • Stakeholder engagement: Serve as the point of contact for stakeholders across the business, translating technical challenges into commercial solutions and ensuring that engineering projects align with overall business objectives.
  • Hands-on technical leadership: Step into technical challenges where needed, providing guidance on mechanical, electrical, product, and project engineering matters. Demonstrate a deep understanding of engineering principles and apply this knowledge to solve real-world problems.
  • Adaptability to change: Respond proactively to shifting priorities and business needs, ensuring that the engineering team remains flexible and focused in a dynamic environment. Provide calm, confident leadership even under pressure.
