TD Fiber, based in High Point, NC, is a leader in the high-loft nonwovens industry. In September we will celebrate our 100th anniversary. Our customers include premium brands in upholstered furniture, bedding, hygiene, appliances, packaging, and related consumer goods.
The company is recruiting an Engineering Manager to lead the department responsible for machinery, equipment, and facilities.

This position has responsibility in the following areas:

• Oversight of Machinery and Equipment
• Supervision and Leadership of Mechanical Staff
• Strategy and Planning for Mechanical Department
• Oversight of Sourcing Parts and Equipment
• Management of Outside Mechanical Vendors
• Management of Facilities and Vehicles
• Company Safety

In addition, the candidate will assist with operational improvements, product development, and raw materials.
The candidate should have a minimum of ten years’ experience in leadership roles in continuous manufacturing engineering or maintenance (preferably in textiles); and an associate or bachelor’s degree in mechanical or process engineering, science, or a related technical area.
In addition, she/he should have strong leadership skills, the ability to work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment, and the capability to engage with a diverse group of employees.
At TD Fiber we manufacture high-loft nonwoven fabrics by carding, needling, and thermally bonding synthetic fibers. Familiarity and experience with similar textile manufacturing (and related equipment) would be beneficial.
