Description

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven experience managing large-scale engineering projects, including tendering, design consultation, and end-to-end delivery.
  • Proficiency in interpreting and breaking down engineering drawings.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001:2015 quality management systems and BS EN 1090 standards.
  • Strong knowledge of health and safety practices (e.g., CHAS, ConstructionLine, SafeContractor).
  • IT skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and data entry (Project Management software and CAD experience is a bonus).
  • Valid driving license.
  • Excellent leadership, multitasking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proactive and driven attitude, with strong attention to detail.

DESIRABLE SKILLS (NOT ESSENTIAL)

  • Welding inspection competence or RWC qualification.
  • SMSTS qualification.
  • Crane and forklift operation experience.
  • Project management certification or experience.

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supervise and coordinate jobs for welders, fabricators, and machinists, ensuring resources and staff are allocated efficiently to complete work on-site.
  • Manage project workflows, including:
  • Preparing quotations and estimates.
  • Reviewing and interpreting engineering drawings.
  • Placing purchase orders.
  • Overseeing work in progress and conducting quality inspections.
  • Maintain stock levels for metals, welding consumables, and PPE.
  • Ensure the maintenance of machines and equipment, as well as compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with high-profile clients through meetings, consultations, and progress updates.
  • Support the tendering process by identifying and sourcing new projects.
