Description

Lead a squad of 6–10 engineers and data scientists, setting priorities and supporting their development.
Own delivery from technical planning through to deployment and ongoing improvement.
Contribute to architecture discussions and code reviews, helping the team make sound technical decisions.
Work closely with Product Owners and operational stakeholders to translate business needs into engineering requirements.
Support the delivery of AI, optimisation and simulation capabilities that improve operational efficiency.
Drive engineering standards across testing, maintainability, deployment and monitoring.
Recruit, coach and develop a high-performing team.

What we’re looking forStrong software or data engineering experience, including a track record of leading engineering teams.
Experience delivering production systems and managing technical delivery.
A hands-on technical background, ideally including Python and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or GCP.
Confidence reviewing technical designs, resolving delivery challenges and communicating trade-offs.
Strong stakeholder management and people leadership skills.
Experience with AI/ML, optimisation or simulation would be beneficial, particularly within logistics, manufacturing or industrial environments.
