Our Entertainment and Inspiration Team will set out to solve major customer challenges around inspiration & entertainment in fashion & lifestyle e-commerce as well as helping our customers navigate the challenge of overwhelming choice in our ecosystem!
Join our team as an Engineering Manager leading our Customer Experience team in the domain of content and storytelling. The team takes responsibility for onsite experience with inspirational and entertaining content. Our mission is to develop innovative products that amplify our customers’ content experiences. This role provides a unique opportunity to collaborate in a multidisciplinary team of mobile and web engineers, shape the technical direction, and oversee the end to end execution of projects as well as evolve ways of working of the team and department overall.

WHAT WE’D LOVE YOU TO DO (AND LOVE DOING)

• Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to a diverse team of engineers, nurturing their professional growth, being fair and empathetic in performance management, and offering specific, actionable feedback.
• Partner closely with product managers, designers to develop the technical roadmap and translate customer and business requirements into high-quality technical solutions.
• Oversee the end-to-end software development lifecycle, assuring timely delivery of robust, scalable software products and contributing to reliable operation of the team’s production software systems.
• Advocate for best engineering practices, coding standards, and QA processes, ensuring high standards of software craftsmanship and managing incident responses and improving operating procedures.
• Foster a collaborative and inclusive culture that values open communication, knowledge sharing, continuous improvement, and work-life balance.
• Liaise with stakeholders to understand business goals, transforming them into effective engineering strategies, and effectively escalating and resolving roadblocks.
• Maintain a broad view of the department’s architecture, content and storytelling domain, understand the e-commerce market, and track technology trends.
