Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Engineering (MEP) Supervisor to join our team in Rixos Al Mairid Ras Al-Khaimah, United Arab Emirates. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in overseeing Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems for construction projects, ensuring high-quality installations and compliance with industry standards.

  • Operate and control sewage treatment plant equipment to treat wastewater and ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
  • Monitor and adjust chemical dosages and water flow rates to optimize treatment processes.
  • Perform regular inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure proper functioning and address any issues promptly.
  • Conduct quality control tests on treated water to ensure it meets safety and environmental standards.
  • Keep accurate records of plant operations, maintenance activities, and test results.
  • Respond to alarms and emergencies, such as equipment malfunctions or spills, in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Follow safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Coordinate with other plant operators and personnel to ensure smooth operations and communication.
  • Stay informed about new technologies and best practices in sewage treatment to continually improve plant efficiency and compliance.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering (hospitality sector experience preferred).

  • Professional Engineering (PE) license or equivalent certification is an advantage.
  • 5–7 years of MEP engineering experience, with a proven track record in hospitality projects (hotels, resorts, or mixed-use developments).
  • Extensive knowledge of MEP systems relevant to hospitality facilities, including HVAC for guest comfort, electrical distribution, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and BIM software to support design, renovation, and expansion projects in hotels and resorts.
  • Strong understanding of UAE building codes, regulations, and industry standards, with emphasis on hospitality compliance requirements.
  • Project management expertise in hotel renovations, FF&E/MEP coordination, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
  • Demonstrated leadership in supervising and mentoring multidisciplinary technical teams within hospitality environments.
  • Advanced problem-solving and analytical skills, ensuring minimal disruption to hotel operations during project execution.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written), with the ability to prepare technical reports, present to hotel management, and liaise with contractors and consultants.
  • Experience in energy-efficient design and sustainable building practices, aligning with green hospitality initiatives and cost optimization.
  • Familiarity with construction methodologies and site safety protocols, ensuring compliance in both operational hotels and new builds.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multicultural hospitality environment, balancing guest experience with technical project delivery
