Description:
JOB OBJECTIVE
V-TES & V-TES Renewables is seeking a Engineering Operations Manager, The role involves driving business development and strategic direction, motivating and building the team, and providing technical support for operations, with a strong emphasis on engineering excellence and innovation.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE
- Experience: At least 5 to 10 years of previous work experience in a senior engineering management role with full P&L responsibility.
- Skills: Strong communication, problem-solving, and adaptability skills.
- Technical Qualification: Technically qualified and able to develop a detailed understanding of V-TES products and markets.
- Competence: Competent in commercial, contractual, and administrative aspects of electrical engineering.
- Estimation: Highly experienced in producing man-hour and material estimates for all discipline activities.
- High Voltage Experience: Experience with high voltage terminations and testing is advantageous.
- IRATA Experience: Experience in working with IRATA operator companies. (Not Essential)
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
Degree: Electrical Engineering Degree or equivalent in an appropriate engineering subject.
Certification: CompEx-01-04 certification

Pay: £70,000.00-£75,000.00 per year

Responsibilities:
- Budget and Business Planning: Prepare budgets and business plans, manage their implementation to meet company objectives, budgets, and overall P&L.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with the CEO and CFO.
- Sales & Marketing: Contribute to the sales and marketing process, create long-term partnerships with key accounts, and establish management structures for these relationships.
- Target Achievement: Plan and execute activities to achieve agreed targets and standards for financial and trading performance, quality, and legislative adherence.
- Growth Opportunities: Identify and drive the implementation of growth opportunities in line with business plans.
- Strategic Planning: Contribute to the strategic planning of the business for future development in line with mid and long-term plans.
- Team Culture: Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture to drive engineering excellence.
- Technical Support: Provide technical support and advice to personnel, including managing electrical integrity issues.
- Coordination: Liaise and coordinate with personnel, sub-contractors, and clients.
- Deliverables: Ensure timely delivery and quality of all deliverables against agreed plans and budgets.
- Specialist Support: Provide specialist support for inspection, fault analysis, repair/remedial strategy, and acceptance testing of equipment.
- Understanding of electrical systems, including grid-tied and off-grid renewable energy systems
- Proficiency in reading electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals
- Onshore Support: Provide day-to-day onshore electrical technical support.
- Estimates and Tenders: Prepare and approve estimates and tender requirements.
- Project Input: Provide technical input/approval for projects and ITTs.
- Representation: Represent V-TES at industry meetings and seminars.
- Safety: Ensure electrical safe working at all times. Change to -Ensure adherence to all safety regulations, standards, and guidelines, especially regarding high-voltage operations.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement control measures to maintain a safe working environment.
- Budget and Schedule Compliance: Ensure work is done within budget and schedule.
