DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Works to administrator level using a CMMS. (Computer maintenance management system)
• Obtains drawings, instructional manuals and special procedures, as needed, from files or other sources for any needed clarification
• Determines scope of work order using system and/or manually generated information to define parameters
• Identifies needed parts or materials or special tools and orders same as necessary
• Determines estimate of expected number of personnel needed for the job and/or required hours
• Estimates cost of each work order in terms of direct labor, materials required and total cost.
• Analyse work order load / due dates, available maintenance resources, and production asset run requirements to determine disconnects between production schedules and maintenance requirements or parts availability
• Integrates schedule of needed PM along with repair work orders into overall maintenance plan
• Develops a maintenance work schedule for the Asset Owners and the Engineering Manager.
• Assembles/builds ‘kits’ of all parts/supplies needed for common or known repairs in advance of planned work to maximise maintenance technicians availability
• Maintains appropriate records of asset maintenance histories, lead times, etc to allow for meaningful analysis and reporting of results or work done.
