Responsibilities
  • Leadership and organisation of engineering activities on shift inclusive of preventive and reactive activities,
  • Ensure and promote a safe working environment and lead from the front,
  • Key involvement with assisting the Engineering department in delivering their KPIs,
  • Site contact for coordination of contractor work, to ensure safe and controlled activities are completed to the highest standards,
  • To chair weekly scheduling meetings for planned activities with Engineering Manager and Team leaders,
  • Produce reports for Engineering Manager and Engineering Team leaders, and assist with Continuous improvement methods,
  • Control, populate and prioritise a work backlog for all maintenance activities or activities involving the engineering team on CMMS system,
  • Key involvement with the implementation of a new CMMS system,
  • Work closely with Engineering stores to ensure all work planned has the necessary items to complete,
  • Key role in shutdown planning and organisation, to ensure fluid successful shutdowns,
  • Deputise for Engineering Stores Coordinator in their absence,
  • Participate in GEMBA walks prioritising health and safety,
  • Working closely with Engineering Manager, Engineering stores Coordinator, and Engineering Team leaders to ensure Budgets are not exceeded,
  • Working closely with Engineering Manager, Engineering stores Coordinator, and Engineering Team leaders to Budget for YR+1,
  • Organise and schedule all service contracts and statutory inspections are conducted within set time frame,
  • Scheduling and organisation of Training with the Engineering Team leaders,
  • Attend daily meetings as per line managers request,
  • Ensure all RA and SSOPs are up to date and delegate responsibilities when needed,
  • Deliver and maintain inductions for Engineering contractors and visitors,
  • Flexible in the role to take on other responsibilities when required
