* Fixed Term, Full time appointment (3 years) * Level 3/4: $65,896 - $84,002 + 17% superannuation  The ARC Future Grids Training Centre is seeking a highly motivated and proactive Administrative Officer to provide high‑level operational and support to the Centre Director and Centre Manager. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a major national initiative at the forefront of Australia’s clean energy transition, supporting research, training, and industry engagement activities that shape the future electricity grids. About the Centre Led by UOW, the ARC Future Grids Training Centre is a prestigious $8.5M, 5‑year national collaboration involving six leading universities and sixteen industry partners. The Centre is dedicated to delivering cutting-edge research and advanced training programs in renewable energy generation, transmission, and distribution, while developing the next generation of leaders for Australia’s energy sector. The Role You will manage a wide range of administrative activities, including training and program coordination, diary and travel management, financial processing, HR and recruitment support, correspondence, committee support, and general office operations. The role also involves maintaining administrative systems, supporting staff and students, assisting with reporting, and contributing to events such as conferences, workshops and student activities. The position requires strong organisational skills, professionalism, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Selection Criteria You will have a diploma in engineering or a related field, with experience in a large and complex organisation. Strong communication skills, event and program coordination experience, and well‑developed administrative and organisational abilities are essential. High computer literacy, with excellent time‑management skills, are required. This role is not suitable for remote work and may require occasional work outside standard hours or across campuses and partner facilities. Leave restrictions may apply during peak periods.
