Position Summary The Engineering Program Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and driving execution of complex technical programs spanning hardware, software, and cross-functional stakeholders. This role supports technical project delivery, external certification efforts, and new product introduction (NPI), while contributing to the evolution of scalable engineering program management practices. This is a mid-career, hands-on role for someone who can operate independently, bring structure to ambiguity, and partner effectively with engineering teams to improve how programs are planned and executed. Responsibilities Own end-to-end program management for cross-functional engineering initiatives, including hardware,software, and integrated system projects Plan and track schedules, dependencies, risks, and deliverables across multiple technical workstreams Coordinate new product introduction (NPI) efforts from development through launch readiness Support external certification and compliance-related engineering activities, aligning teams to requireddocumentation, reviews, and milestones Contribute to the development and improvement of engineering program management processes, tools,and best practices to improve execution consistency and visibility Facilitate technical reviews, program updates, and decision-making forums with engineering leadershipand stakeholders Proactively identify risks and tradeoffs, escalating issues with clear options and recommendations Serve as a connective layer between engineering, quality, operations, and other partner teams to ensurealignment and execution Required Qualifications Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or related field (or equivalent years ofprofessional experience) Experience: Experience managing complex technical programs involving both hardware and software components Proven ability to operate independently, driving programs forward with minimal oversight Experience supporting product development lifecycles and delivery milestones Skills: Strong program planning and execution skills, including scheduling, risk management, and cross-team coordination Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality management principles and structured engineering processes Hands-on experience using Atlassian tools (e.g., Jira and Confluence) for work item tracking, program documentation, and execution visibility Ability to communicate effectively with engineers, technical leads, and non-technical stakeholders Strong organizational skills with attention to detail Certifications/Licenses: None required (PMP or similar program management certification is a plus) Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting or preparing for external audits, certifications, or compliance initiatives Background in new product introduction (NPI) within an engineering or manufacturing-adjacent environment Experience contributing to the definition or improvement of program management standards, templates, or operating rhythms Comfort working in environments where processes are evolving rather than fully defined Team Working Style Operates effectively in environments with ambiguity and evolving priorities Partners closely with engineering leads and more senior program managers to align on priorities, standards, and execution approach Values clear ownership, transparent communication, and pragmatic process Physical Requirements and Work Environment Ability to sit for extended periods while working at a computer Office setting with remote/hybrid flexibility Occasional travel may be required for team meetings, vendor visits, or certification activities (estimated 5-10%) Please Note Applicants must be permanently authorized to work for ANY employer in the United States.
