THE ROLE:

As the project intern, you will be responsible for the execution of research oriented tasks, supporting the discovery of new control system methods for thermal transfer printers. You will apply research and engineering skills to identify, characterise, compare, select different control strategies, present pros and cons to stakeholders and prepare reports so that the knowledge can be passed on.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

• Propose concepts for new ribbon drive control methods
• Implement the concepts, building electronics + writing software yourself, or integrating from open-source libraries
• Capture data required for assessing system performance
• Demonstrate the concepts on real hardware to stakeholders
• Document all investigative and test activity in an electronic logbook
