ENGINEERING PROJECT LEADER

KTH Parts Industries located in St. Paris, OH is hiring an Engineering Project Leader whose primary responsibility will be overseeing the development and installation of our New Model equipment. We are seeking a dedicated individual who demonstrates a strong work ethic, a commitment to continuous improvement, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the development of new assembly lines as well as the modification of existing assembly lines and welding fixtures
  • Understand the scope of work to accommodate new model installations, design changes, and/or capacity-up changes due to OEM specifications
  • Work with equipment vendors, integrators, and various departments within KTH to successfully evaluate, plan, schedule, review, implement, and install change points to new and existing automation cells
  • Attend trade shows, supplier conferences, and training programs
  • Evaluate mass production processes and develop a plan using new/emerging technology to improve the system
  • Teach and troubleshoot robotic systems.
  • Develop specifications, coordinate design, order equipment, install, and troubleshoot automation assembly lines
  • Understand and apply various joining applications: MIG, resistance, fasteners, sealer, adhesive, and rivets

Qualifications:

  • 4-year degree in Engineering, or equivalent years of relevant on-the-job work experience
  • Should be a self-motivated individual
  • Can multitask as well as possess analytical skills
  • Have critical thinking and excellent communication skills
  • Good mechanical/some electrical knowledge of industrial equipment
  • Use of (CATIA, AutoCAD LT) for fixture design and development of robotic layouts
  • Travel required, Domestic and International (10%)
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications is a must
