Description The Engineering/Project Coordinator is the vital link between Sales, Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing and Project Management. This person is instrumental in developing and fostering positive and open communication, assuring customer requirements during the APQP process, provide support in the creation of bill of materials (BOM) and continuous improvement projects. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Carries out team administrative functions as defined by the President. Carries out assigned projects as defined by the President. Perform other administrative duties as identified by the President. Responsibilities Responsible for coordinating internal and external projects and supporting the APQP process through all the product phases. Support quotation process by assisting with the generation of customer requested quotations including both tooling and piece part RFQ's, submission of quote letters to customers, and logging and maintaining both active and inactive quote files. Support change-activities by making additions and or changes within the ERP and CRM systems as required. Assures ERP database information is accurate and up to date as new or revised drawings and information are submitted. Notifies others when discrepancies appear. Oversees, and updates weekly qualification scheduling sheet with input from Project Engineers and Production to assist in the scheduling of sampling and qualifications. Create initial In-Process Control Plan(s) (IPCP). Implements and continuously support continuous improvement projects throughout the plant in conjunction with the president and other department leaders (i.e. Production & Quality Systems, continuous improvement process A3, APQP, etc.) Requirements Position requires a high school education at a minimum, Associates or some form of higher education/training preferred. It could be combined with job experience. Minimum of 2-3 years of experience providing administrative support, preferably in an engineering or manufacturing environment. Prior work experience producing, maintaining, and modifying bills of materials (BOMS) helpful. Experience with business software programs including Microsoft Office Word and Excel required; with prior experience with creating pivot tables a definite plus. JIRA a plus. Experience working within the APQP and PPAP process environment considered ideal. Must be able to multi-task and prioritize Process Oriented Sense of Urgency with Task Completion (Excellent Follow-Through) Team Player - Collaborative & Flexible (Open to Change) Accuracy of work, quick response and multitasking All applicants are required to take a drug screen test prior to employment.
