Description:

The Technical Project Manager offers an amazing opportunity to work with a talented and innovative team to facilitate the creation of next-generation, energy efficient, intelligent control systems for commercial and industrial applications. The ideal candidate will have strong project management skills and experience managing projects which include hardware, firmware and software for networked electronic device using both internal and external resources.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (electrical, mechanical, or computer) with a specialization in management or equivalent experience
- 6+ years of project management experience involving scope control, project plan creation and status reporting
- PMP preferred, but not required
- Strong project management, planning analysis and leadership skills
- Demonstrated ability to successfully manage complex cross-discipline projects through the utilization of structured development processes and methodologies
- Ability to work effectively across a matrix organization to coordinate resources and schedules
- Excellent communication, writing, presentation and conflict resolution skills
Responsibilities:
- Define and manage project schedules in accordance with a structured product development framework and coordinate resources for all system aspects, include, hardware, firmware and software to meet functional, design, and quality assurance requirements.
- Contribute to the preliminary business cases for projects by defining the preliminary project and resource plan in collaboration with the directors involved.
- Work with Product Management team to help evaluate, prioritize and implement product feature requirements which will provide a cost competitive, value added advantage relative to the competitive product landscape.
- Participate in project Conceptual Design Events to help the team estimate the potential schedule impact of different design options.
- Establish work plans and timelines and utilize daily management to track progress
- Ensure schedule adherence and delivery od products per defines specification and cost targets
- Produce and report project/team KPIs and metrics
- Manage scope creep and deviations from plan, enacting appropriate countermeasures to mitigate risk
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to escalate unresolved issues, risks and key decisions when necessary
- Maintain and update project management tools
- Facilitate the cross-functional participation in and use of the Lean Product Delivery System (Lean PDS) process for the development of new products, major line extensions and major cost reductions
- Create a culture of continuous improvement by creating, documenting and helping to implement business process improvements that engender increases in efficiency, effectiveness or quality and/or reduce costs
- Engage the key stakeholders, process owners and cross-functional team members to insure compliance with all necessary company, regulatory and customer requirements
- Facilitate effective collaboration between internal and external customers and suppliers to ensure that new and enhanced product fully meet life cycle objectives for the entire value chain
