We currently have an opportunity for an Engineering Project Manager (Lifecycle Projects) to join our Health & Education team and play a key role in ensuring critical engineering assets at Bendigo Hospital remain safe, reliable, and fit‑for‑purpose across their lifecycle. Reporting to the Asset Manager, you’ll help deliver high‑quality outcomes that support our essential services. This role can be based in Bendigo or at our Melbourne office. Melbourne‑based applicants should expect occasional travel to the Bendigo site as part of the position.   What You’ll Do  This role offers a broad scope, with key responsibilities including: * Leading the full lifecycle project portfolio for engineering upgrades, replacements, and major refresh programs across Bendigo Hospital.  * Developing scopes, business cases, budgets, schedules, procurement plans, and governance documentation that ensure projects meet statutory, operational, and contractual requirements.  * Coordinating safe delivery of works in a live healthcare environment, including outage planning, commissioning, and integration with clinical operations.  * Managing vendors, contractors, and technical partners to ensure high‑quality, safe, and compliant outcomes.  * Providing clear and proactive stakeholder engagement, ensuring risks are identified early and managed effectively throughout the project lifecycle.   What You’ll Bring  * Experience delivering engineering lifecycle or capital works projects in complex or regulated environments with healthcare experience highly regarded.  * Strong knowledge of engineering systems such as electrical, mechanical, fire, hydraulics, BMCS/BMS, and critical‑services infrastructure.  * Proven ability to plan safe shutdowns, isolations, and staged cutovers with minimal disruption to essential operations.  * Confidence working with multidisciplinary teams, including clinical, technical, and executive stakeholders and building strong, respectful relationships.  * A commitment to safety, governance, accountability, and high‑quality delivery across all project phases.    More than anything, you’ll bring a positive attitude, a strong work ethic, and a passion for contributing to essential community infrastructure.   Why Downer?
