See yourself in our team As a Senior Engineering Leader, you’ll support teams to deliver strong technical outcomes while nurturing modern engineering practices and a culture grounded in trust, learning, and continuous improvement. You’ll combine hands‑on engineering with people leadership, ensuring platforms are secure, scalable, and thoughtfully designed. You’ll work in close partnership with business and technology stakeholders, fostering shared understanding and translating complex technical ideas into clear, customer‑focused solutions. Bring experience in financial services, ideally with exposure to financial markets or data-intensive domains. Tech skills We use a broad range of tools, languages, and frameworks. Experience with some of these will set you up for success: Strong programming experience with Python (backend/data) and TypeScript (front end), with the ability to work across multiple languages when needed. Deep experience with AWS (certification preferred). Experience working with ETL pipelines, data platforms and writing efficient SQL for complex queries. Strong understanding of databases and caching technologies (Snowflake, Postgres, Oracle). Experience with event-driven and messaging systems such as SQS, SNS or Kafka. Familiarity with engineering and delivery toolchains including GitHub, GitHub Actions, Octopus, TeamCity and Artifactory. Managing the design, build and operations of the system (DevSecOps). Expertise in observability and reliability practices using OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana and CloudWatch. Solid understanding of security best practices including secrets management (Vault, AWS Secrets Manager) and certificate management. Experience with automated testing and modern testing methodologies such as TDD and BDD. Ability to design and implement scalable, data-intensive systems using APIs, microservices, event-driven patterns and serverless architectures. Knowledge of deployment strategies, CI/CD and SRE principles Interest or experience in AI and machine learning technologies, including agentic AI frameworks, Eval frameworks and automated supervisory/monitoring.
