EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Applicants should have a proven track record of supervisory management and staff motivation and a customer-caring attitude to problem solving.
  • Given the wide range of the role you must be able to demonstrate excellent prioritising skills, as well as decision making and organisational abilities.
  • Ideally you will hold a relevant professional qualification, although consideration will be given to skilled vehicle technicians.
  • A flexible approach to working times and shift patterns is required to reflect the varying needs of this challenging role.
  • Possession of a Full Manual car licence is essential, and a PCV licence is preferred.
Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinating the maintenance and service our fleet of vehicles to both the Company’s and the Department of Transport’s exacting standards.
  • Supervising a team of engineering staff

. Ensuring documents are up to date and in good order.

  • Ensuring Company health & safety policies and procedures are followed.

KEY SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Acting in a manner as to ensure the health, safety, welfare, environment and fire safety of yourself and others in the organisation, as well as any customers, clients, and visitors.
  • Ensuring that you and any guests to any company premises understand emergency and evacuation arrangements.
  • Ensuring your working environment is maintained in a safe and tidy condition.
  • Acting proactively in identifying any unsafe practices or safety risks in the organisation and reporting these through the appropriate channels.
  • Ensuring adherence to all relevant company and Go-Ahead group company policies and procedures.
