Job Summary The Engineering Site Services Manager at Albert Bartlett is responsible for leading the planning and scheduling of all maintenance activities—planned, preventative, and reactive—across our Airdrie site. You will ensure resources, parts, and permits are in place to maximise equipment uptime, support food safety compliance, and minimise engineering downtime. This role covers critical site services including refrigeration, steam, compressed air, and utilities, requiring strong leadership, technical expertise, and a proactive approach to continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities: Develop and manage Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedules for processing, packaging, refrigeration, steam, and utilities equipment. Build weekly engineering schedules in collaboration with Engineering and Production teams. Ensure contractors, permits, and shutdown windows are prepared in advance. Review and prioritise work requests based on production impact and break down jobs into detailed tasks. Monitor work order close-out with accurate feedback and root cause analysis. Work with Engineering Stores to maintain critical spares and prepare kits for planned shutdowns. Maintain accurate engineering records for compliance with BRC, PUWER, LOLER, PSSR, ISO standards, and statutory inspections. Analyse downtime trends and implement corrective actions to improve reliability. Support CAPEX planning for efficiency and reliability improvements. Skills & Experience Required: Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and food processing systems. Proven experience in maintenance planning and team leadership within a manufacturing environment. Proficient in CMMS systems and spare parts management. Knowledge of regulatory compliance (PUWER, LOLER, PSSR, ISO standards). Excellent planning, organisational, and communication skills. Analytical mindset with a focus on reliability and continuous improvement. Qualifications: Relevant engineering qualifications (HND, Degree, or equivalent experience). IOSH or equivalent safety certification is advantageous. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and maintenance software.
