SOCIAL MEDIA STUDENT AMBASSADOR If you love social media and enjoy creating engaging content, this is a unique opportunity: the Department of Engineering is looking for a motivated student ambassador to help run its social media accounts on Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, X, and to plan, record, and publish short videos on YouTube and TikTok. Social Media Student Ambassador Role Overview: Work under guidance from departmental staff, and undertake appropriate training. 1–2 hours per week to maintain accounts, seek news stories, and create content. Skills in filming, video editing, and basic graphic/video content creation are desirable. Paid at £12.60 per hour. Application Instructions: This role is open to Engineering students only Please submit a brief application including: Name, year of study, and contact details Experience with social media accounts (preferably non-personal accounts) and content creation, including links to any accounts you manage or examples of content you have created Why you want the role and why you should be selected We encourage applications from students from underrepresented groups and aim to create an inclusive environment. The closing date for applications is 23.59 on Sunday 4 January 2026. We plan to hold interviews in the week starting 12 January 2026. The interview will comprise a 5 minute presentation plus 15 minutes Q&A. Please note that contracts are for a minimum of one year, starting January / February 2026.
