IN THIS POSITION…

Ford Motor Company is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Supply Chain Buyer to lead the purchasing of Engineering Services for our North American operations. This critical role will focus on strategically managing suppliers of varies specialized engineering firms, ensuring cost-effective and timely delivery of services that support the development of cutting-edge automotive technologies. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a proven track record of success in negotiating contracts, managing supplier relationships, and driving cost reductions.

Responsibilities
  • Identify commercial opportunities and sourcing strategies within the Engineering Services category.
  • Support the Category Manager in the delivery of approved strategic objectives in line with the Product Development strategy and relevant Business Plans.
  • Provide expertise in the Engineering Services sourcing category, including market knowledge and sourcing best practice.
  • Help define and deliver the Engineering Services category plans and identify appropriate sourcing strategies which generate benefits and achieve financial savings during mitigating risk for Ford Motor Company.
  • Ensure Engineering Services contracts, including annual renewals, are managed appropriately and promptly.
  • Implement appropriate contractual safeguards, SLAs/ MSAs, and other operational measures to ensure vendors are incentivized to deliver a robust service.
  • Built and maintained strong collaborative relationships with key engineering services suppliers through effective communication and proactive issue resolution.
