Collaborate cross-functionally and mentor junior engineers, ensuring team development and technical alignment. Experience Required (Min – Max year): 10-15 years of experience. Essential Responsibilities Lead and execute basic and detailed engineering for Electrical and Instrumentation systems across Water, Power, Oil & Gas sectors. Develop and validate MCC, VFD, PLC, DCS, and ESD system specifications, architecture, IO assignments, and related documentation. Ensure compliance with international standards (e.g., ATEX, IEC 61508/61511, NEMA) and project/client requirements. Guide 3D modellers for proper instrument placement and routing in design models. Review and approve technical documents, vendor offers, and post-order submissions for instruments, automated valves, control systems, and panels. Handle complex and high-risk projects with ownership of budgeted hours, schedule adherence, and quality output. Conduct or review FAT/SAT procedures, support HAZOP/SIL studies, and select appropriate instruments and control systems. Collaborate cross-functionally and mentor junior engineers, ensuring team development and technical alignment. Demonstrate strong problem-solving, leadership, and project coordination capabilities to meet technical and client expectations. Key Skills required Must-Have Requirements In depth knowledge in Instrumentation & Control System Engineering fundamentals. Preparing Instrument Index, Instrument Datasheets, IO list, Hook-up, Cable Schedule, Loop Diagram etc. Preparing Automated Valve List, Automated Valve Datasheets, Solenoid Valves datasheets, Pressure Regulating Valve Datasheet etc. Preparation of PLC, DCS, ESD system specification, Architecture, Data sheet, IO assignments etc. Ability to read and implement Tender/ Client specifications Knowledge in International standards (ATEX, NEMA, IEC 61508/61511 etc.). Exposure and selection of E&I items in Area classified projects (Zone 0,1,2) Knowledge in Process documents like P&ID, PFD, Mass Balance, Process Description etc. Knowledge in Piping documents like PMS, Line List, Valve List, Nozzle Schedule etc. Guide 3D Modellers on instrument installation on 3D model development Review and approval of Basic and Details engineering documents. Review technical offers and preparation of TBE for Instrumentation and Control system (PLC/ DCS, RIO, Field Instruments, Automated Valves (ON-OFF Valves, Control Valves, SOV, PRV etc.) in-line with codes & client specifications. Review and Approval of Post order vendor documentation for Instrumentation and Control System (PLC/ DCS, RIO, Field Instruments, Automated Valves (ON-OFF Valves, Control Valves, SOV, PRV etc.) Exposure to conducting inspection and report for PLC/DCS Panels. Budgeting hours and controlling On time and high-quality submission of Instrumentation and Control scope of work Handled complex projects with complete basic and detail engineering of Instrumentation and Control System scope Good To Have Requirements (That Supports future Career progression in the Role) Review and Sign off FAT/SAT procedures for PLC/DCS. Preparing and Reviewing HAZOP & SIL study and calculation procedures.
